Project description:

The three steam cogeneration plants are located in the north of Lower Austria, in the Waldviertel area. The plant located in Rastenfeld is a high-pressure super-heated steam boiler plant, constructed as a double-boiler plant. The thermal output of the boilers is 2 x 10,700 kW (fire tube boilers with 23 bar, 420°C). This plant produces 5,000 kWel by means of a steam turbine. The produced electrical output is fed into the local power grid.

Part of the thermal waste heat is used to supply a sawmill and a pellet plant with energy.
