Project description:

The cogeneration plant consists of 2 biomass-fired super-heated steam boiler plants (design 29 bar / 470°C – 16.1 MWth each), which supply steam to a steam turbine. The turbine is designed as an extraction condensing turbine (7.5 MWel). The extraction volume is regulated and heats a heat condenser (decoupling up to 23 MWth), which supplies the district heating system. Additionally, a hot water boiler (10 MWth) is installed for the district heating system in winter. In the exterior area there is a recooling plant to precipitate the turbine steam in the condenser.

During the planning and construction of the whole boiler and energy generation plant, special attention was paid to future highly efficient operation as well as operational safety.
