Technology

State-of-the-art plant technology with highly innovative and scientific characteristics for your CO2 neutral and efficient energy production.

POLYTECHNIK is one of the most important suppliers for combustion technology plants and is famous for the perfect planning and trouble-free delivery of turn-key biomass combustion plants for heat and power generation.

We offer combustion plants with a performance range from 300 kW up to 30,000 kW (single boiler performance). Depending on the type and water content of the fuel, different firing systems are employed (underfeed system, underfeed burnout grate and hydraulic reciprocating step grate). Warm water, hot water, steam or thermal oil are used as process mediums. The plants can be used for heating and process heat, as well as for power generation. The corresponding power generation performance is within the range of 200 kWel – 20,000 kWel (single turbine performance).

Our customised plants and systems are employed in the timber industry, the public sector for municipal heat supply, by large energy suppliers and industrial energy consumers.

POWERING ECONOMICS

Our turn-key plants and the seamless one-stop execution enable you to significantly shorten the project cycle: all you have to do is turn the key.

The know-how-intensive overall project management takes place in our Weissenbach head office. All installed plants worldwide are monitored and serviced electronically via remote maintenance from here also. The production of the plants takes place in four different production facilities within the European Union. These companies are ISO 9001 certified and operate an extensive quality management system.

Below you can find more detailed information on the tried and tested biogenic fuels as well as on our different combustion systems:

Fuels

A broad range of tried and tested fuels enables us to implement the best and most economical plant possible for each fuel.

CHP

Combined heat and power plants offer the smart and economically efficient opportunity to generate heat and electricity from biogenic fuels.

Thermal Oil

Our thermal oil plants use mineral or synthetic oils as energy carrier, depending on the requirements and operating temperature of your process

Process Steam

Process steam plants generate the steam required (adjusted to temperature/pressure) by steam-processing industries from biogenic fuels.

Hot water

Our hot water generation plants cover the whole range from 110 – 200°C for an efficient and economical use of biogenic fuels.

Torrefaction

A special combustion unit makes it possible to not only use the solid fuel, but also the lean gas which develops during torrefaction.

Carbonisation

Industry 4.0 – with our production facilities for vegetable carbon, which produce products with a carbon content of up to 97% and a low toxin content.

DRIVING CHANGE

Low energy costs and efficient energy generation with biomass

Increasing independence from fossil fuels and significant savings in fuel costs when using biomass instead of fossil fuels (oil price).

Biomass as a CO2 neutral, renewable organic resource is the ideal fuel for an environmentally friendly and sustainable energy production. Our plants deliver higher combustion performances, even when biomass of inferior quality with a relatively high water content is used.

Decrease of environmental impact by using low -emission energy plants with high efficiency and low operating costs due to our high-quality product.

Longer availability and improved emission values (usually well below the legal limits) offer a significant advantage over competitors.

Partly country-specific funding for the investment costs from national and international support programmes for this visionary, resource-conserving and environmentally friendly type of energy production.
