Project description:
The wood cogeneration plant in the community of Castrisch in the outskirts of the city of Ilanz, was planned and constructed by the EWZ (Power Plant of the city of Zurich). For the heat generation a wood chip thermal oil boiler is operated, which supplies an ORC module for power generation via a thermal oil circuit. Local wood, mainly waste wood, is used for the production of heat and eco-frendly electricity. The heat is transferred to the city of Ilanz via a district heating system, in order to supply properties with energy.
